ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., July 11, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) has added five new language recordings to their catalog of Audio Scriptures this month. - Buglere – Panama
- Kimeru – Kenya
- Mazahua, Central – Mexico
- Tamang, Eastern – Nepal
- Urak Lawoi – Thailand
These recordings are possible because of the dedicated work and partnership of many translation ministries around the world.
FCBH's robust catalog today features a total of 662 languages, but that number will change quickly with new additions every month. Notably, New Testaments in 97 languages have been added in just the last 12 months. Spoken in more than 185 countries, these recordings as a whole represent a potential outreach to more than 5 billion people – or in other words, two-thirds of the world's population.
Faith Comes By Hearing offers free access to these Audio Bibles through streaming, downloads and podcasts, while the Bible.is app for iPhone, iPad and Android devices offers access to God's Word right from the palm of your hand. Already the world's largest resource of Bible text and audio, this unprecedented platform continues to expand rapidly.
For those areas that do not yet have regular access to the Internet or mobile devices, Faith Comes By Hearing continues to reach out by providing Audio New Testaments on solar-powered Proclaimers for listening groups. More than 314,000 Proclaimers are literally proclaiming the Gospel around the world.
"The delivery system has never been our focus," states Jerry Jackson, FCBH founder and president. "Whether it be a village listening to a Proclaimer under a tree, a desktop computer, social media, smartphone, television or whatever the delivery system of the future may be, the goal is to give every person the opportunity to hear God's Word in the language they pray in and in a format they can use."
The ministry's goal is to record and provide Audio New Testaments in every translated language, making the fulfillment of the Great Commission a reality in this generation.
Established in 1972, Faith Comes By Hearing is celebrating their 40th year in ministry throughout 2012.
