Analyst Update: Public Offering, Financial Results, New Contract and New Senior Credit Facility

U.S. stocks closed mixed on Tuesday as investors remained vigil over tech earnings and the Federal Reserve's concluding statement on Wednesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 0.40%, to close the day at 18,110.14, and the S&P 500 gained 0.28%, to 2,114.76. However, the NASDAQ Composite was down 0.10%, to finish the session at 5,055.42. European stocks tumbled on Tuesday amid concerns over Federal Reserve's meeting outcome. Germany's DAX 30 fell 1.89%, France's CAC 40 lost 1.81%, and London's FTSE 100 ended 1.03% lower on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Asian stock markets mostly closed lower on Tuesday. The Shanghai Composite Index and Australia's S&P ASX both fell on Tuesday, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index was flat.
Lipocine Inc. announced on April 24, 2015 that it has priced an underwritten public offering of 4.65 million shares of its common stock at $6.50 per share for gross proceeds of $30.2 million. Lipocine has also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 697,500 shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.
Monolithic Power Systems Inc. (Monolithic Power) on April 22, 2015 announced results for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 with net revenues of $73.5 million, up 22.4% from $60.1 million in the first quarter of 2014. Non-GAAP net income was $14.9 million and non-GAAP earnings per share were $0.37 per diluted share during Q1 2015, compared with non-GAAP net income of $15.6 million and non-GAAP earnings per share of $0.39 per diluted share in the prior year period.
On April 23, 2015, Maxwell Technologies, Inc. (Maxwell) reported revenue of $34.7 million for its first quarter 2015, down 25% from the $46.0 million recorded in the first quarter of 2014. Non-GAAP operating income was down to a loss of $8.1 million as compared to profit of $1.5 million a year ago.
Covenant Transportation Group Inc. (Covenant) announced its results for the first quarter 2015 via a press release on April 23, 2015. The company reported net income of $10.2 million, or $0.56 per diluted share, compared with net loss of $1.4 million, or ($0.09) per diluted share in the first quarter of 2014. The company had revenue of $167.20 million for the quarter, up 3.9% on a year-over-year basis.
InterCloud Systems Inc. (InterCloud) on April 9, 2015 announced that it was recently awarded over $1.9 million in new professional services contracts. Prior to this, the Company announced the signing of a definitive agreement for a new senior credit facility from Faunus Group International Inc.
