EyeLock Names Steve Gerber as Senior Vice President of Mobile and Wearables
Iris authentication leader adds expert in mobile human interface sensing to expand mobile offering across consumer and enterprise markets
NEW YORK, Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- EyeLock, Inc., a market leader of iris-based identity authentication solutions, today announced it has appointed Steve Gerber to the new role of Senior Vice President of Mobile and Wearables. Gerber will be responsible for leading development of mobile platforms and wearable solutions for EyeLock's technologies. Gerber brings more than 25 years of success and innovation in the semiconductor industry to his role at EyeLock, with expertise in human interface sensing within the mobile market.

Gerber joins Eyelock from Maxim Integrated, where he was executive director of the Human Interface Business Unit with leadership spanning engineering, marketing, business development and strategic planning. Prior to Maxim, Gerber served as Director of Human Interface Products at Silicon Labs where he led development of a portfolio of user interface products, including the launch of the company's touch screen and optical product portfolio business.
Steve earned a BSET in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University and an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Geber is also the inventor of several U.S. patents.
