About COMTEX
COMTEX is a Brazilian company with seventeen years of experience and success in the national market. A benchmark in the development of public and private security management technologies, COMTEX provides high-performance results produced with the highest levels of quality and efficiency.
COMTEX was born with the specific objective to supply the public safety market, which began to develop 17 years ago. The turning point came with the implementation of Rio's Center of Operations (COR) which integrated the city's video surveillance system with software that manages the city's numerous needs, from traffic light control to monitoring rainfall density to prevent flooding from causing significant damage.
COMTEX also became known for bold projects such as equipping two thousand police cars with cameras and recorders, an ensemble called "embedded video monitoring." This, among many other actions, provided COMTEX with an understanding of how to meet public demands, which led to their responsibility for the Mobile Emergency Medical Services and other dispatch systems. COMTEX is a pioneer in video surveillance of plants and has the largest number of installed cameras at a university in Brazil, with more than 800 units.
One of the great achievements of COMTEX was the successful implementation of the FIFA World Cup Project in 2014, which included the deployment of 13 Integrated Centers of Command and Control (CICC) in the 12 host cities of the World Cup. The project structure for Extraordinary Secretary of Major Events Security (SESGE), included the provision of information technology solutions, services and infrastructure, and was extremely important to integrate all agencies related to public safety, making it the great legacy left by the event.
COMTEX is committed to developing intelligent solutions that allow complex security and corporate governance projects to improve the quality of life of Brazilian citizens.
