EY promotes 714 new partners worldwide
- Promotions reflect continued growth at EY
- 35% of partners from emerging markets and women represent nearly 30%
LONDON, July 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- EY announces that 714 people globally have been promoted to partner. This year's new partner class includes a record percentage of partners from the emerging markets — 35% of all new partners. In addition, EY continues to focus on increasing the proportion of female partners, with this year's promotions coming in at almost 30%.

On a geographical basis, the Americas area had the largest proportion of new partners, with 287 promotions (40%), followed by the EMEIA area with 275 promotions (39%). New partners in the Asia-Pacific area totalled 122 (17%); Japan had 30 (4%).
By service line, Assurance continued to account for the largest number of partner promotions, with 264 (37%). It was followed by Tax, with 200 new partners (28%); Advisory, with 151 (21%); and Transaction Advisory Services, with 90 (13%). Additionally, 9 new partners (1%) were named within business support.
EY continued to reaffirm its commitment to the advancement of women, with female partner promotions representing 29% (208), including women across all geographies and service lines.
