NEW YORK, Oct. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) today announced Richard Jeanneret, Vice Chair and Northeast Regional Managing Partner, has been recognized as an 'OUTstanding Ally Executive,' Since 2013, the OUTstanding lists have been celebrating executives and allies who are not only successful in their careers, but are also creating supportive workplaces for LGBT+ professionals.

In addition to leading more than 12,000 EY Northeast regional professionals, Jeanneret also serves as the EY Americas Executive Sponsor of Unity, the EY LGBT+ professional network. He supports the strategy of more than 50 Unity chapters across the Americas, which impacts thousands of EY professionals who are connected to the LGBT+ community. He also regularly leads the sponsorship of various EY LGBT+ initiatives as well as is an active participant and speaker at conferences and events. Most recently, Jeanneret spoke on Capitol Hill in support of US legislation that would enforce workplace protection for LGBT+ Americans, and led EY US's commitment as the first Big Four firm to support the Human Rights Campaign Business Coalition for the Equality Act. He also co-led EY US's support of the Freedom for All Massachusetts coalition, a bipartisan campaign seeking to uphold the state's transgender non-discrimination protections.
Jeanneret is one of six EY executives from around the world that has been named a 2018 OUTstanding LGBT+ Role Model, making the EY network the most recognized organization on this year's list.
