EY brings home three 2016 Stevie® Awards for Women in Business

NEW YORK, Dec. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Ernst & Young LLP announced today that three EY leaders were selected among the top female executives worldwide at the 13th annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business.

Kate Barton, Innovator of the Year in Accounting, Business Services and Financial Services, Bronze Award

Kate Barton was recognized for her vision of tax technology, leading innovation for EY Americas Tax by sponsoring the creation of tools and services that help companies efficiently and accurately address the latest and most disruptive changes to tax and regulatory systems. Under her leadership, the firm launched the Tax Innovation Foundry, which is its in-house services and business accelerator, responsible for furthering the next generation of tax services offered for clients.

This past year, Barton was also named Female Executive of the Year by the Women World Awards program, which encompasses the world's best in leadership, innovation, organizational performance, new products and services, and milestones from every major industry in the world. She also won gold at the 2015 Stevie® Awards for Woman of the Year in Business Services.

Shari Yocum and Niki Lee, Maverick of the Year, Bronze Award

Shari Yocum and Niki Lee are principals with Ernst & Young LLP People Advisory Services, providing deep talent insights for successful transactions in mergers, acquisitions, IPOs and divestitures. Prior to joining EY in April 2016, they co-founded award-winning Tasman Consulting with the goal of bringing together professionals with strong corporate human resources and M&A backgrounds to advise clients through the full life-cycle of all types of corporate transactions.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world's top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run. The 2016 awards winners were selected by more than 160 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process this year. There were over 1,400 nominations for more than 90 categories.
