Extra Space Pledges to Take "ElevateHer Challenge"

Joins top companies in efforts to elevate women in leadership

SALT LAKE CITY, May 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Extra Space Storage, Inc. joins the ElevateHer Challenge from the Women's Leadership Institute, pledging to enhance the stature of women's leadership in business and in the community.

Launched in 2015, the ElevateHer Challenge tasks companies to focus on improvement in six key areas: Increasing the percentage of women in senior leadership positions, increasing the retention rate of women at all levels in the company, increasing the number of women on corporate and community boards of directors, monitoring pay by gender and closing identified gaps, enhancing leadership development and mentoring programs for women, and urging and supporting women to run for public office.

Extra Space Storage, Inc. is one of 33 Utah businesses joining the more than 225 organizations working with the Women's Leadership Institute on the ElevateHer Challenge.
