Extra® Dessert Delights® Launches Fan Flavorite Vote to Find Next Flavor

CHICAGO, Sept. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Extra® gum will determine the next flavor in its Extra Dessert Delights® lineup by inviting America to vote between three candidate flavors in the all-new Fan Flavorite Vote.

Gum chewers everywhere will be able to choose among Bananas Foster, Root Beer Float and Lemon Square flavors. The Lemon Square flavor was inspired by the winning dessert of last night's Quickfire Challenge in the Bravo series "Top Chef Just Desserts."

From September 8, 2011, through November 12, 2011, fans can vote for their favorite Extra Dessert Delights flavor as often as inspired on www.facebook.com/extragum and on their mobile phones via m.extragumvote.com. The winner of the Fan Flavorite Vote will be announced on November 16, 2011. The winning flavor of this vote will be added to the mouth-watering Dessert Delights lineup of Orange Creme Pop, Apple Pie, Mint Chocolate Chip, Strawberry Shortcake and Key Lime Pie.

Extra Dessert Delights gum is available at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $1.19 (single, 15-stick Slim Pack®) and $2.49 (multi-pack with three, 15-stick Slim Packs). Look for the winning flavor of the Fan Flavorite Vote in stores summer 2012.
