EXTOL Web Services Integration Platform Selected By CURT Manufacturing

POTTSVILLE, Pa., July 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- EXTOL International, a leading provider of e-business integration software and services, has been selected by CURT Manufacturing to provide advanced web services, in addition to a number of already installed EXTOL solutions.

CURT Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer and marketer of top quality towing products, was looking for a web services solution that could efficiently facilitate trading partner requests for web services integration to automatically manage order submission and tracking activities.   

Being an EXTOL customer since 2005 when they purchased the EXTOL EDI Integrator for i (EEI), CURT has since purchased three additional solutions, including EXTOL Business Integrator (EBI) Web Services. As a returning customer, CURT validates both EXTOL solutions and the company's commitment to provide support as a trusted partner.

"CURT's back-end processes needed faster response times to their trading partner requests and building an internal web services infrastructure wasn't practical due to costs and existing system limitations," said Peter Harper, Vice President of Sales at EXTOL. "We were able to give them a solution that provides immediate response on submitted orders as a pass/fail status as well as detailed information on already submitted orders – without the need for a separate web services license or costly Professional Services engagement."

The EXTOL solution included an order submission web service to be hosted by CURT to accept XML orders. Additionally, the web service provider hosted by CURT will query the status of a previously submitted order through an EXL order status request. The XML response will be answered by one of the following outcomes: order is open, order is shipped, order is being loaded, order was cancelled or order is missing.

"By providing CURT with an integrated web services solution, EXTOL now captures exact statuses through the EBI Web Services solution which offers better tracking while offering a synchronous XML response," Harper continued.
