EXTOL International Named to Software Magazine's 30th Annual Software 500 List
Software Magazine Ranks B2B Integration Services Provider as one of the World's Largest Software Companies
POTTSVILLE, Pa., Sept. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- EXTOL International, a leading provider of business integration software and services, today announced its inclusion in Software Magazine's Software 500 ranking of the world's largest software and service providers, now in its 30th year.
The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world's largest software and services suppliers, targeting medium to large enterprises, IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing.
"The 2012 Software 500 results show that revenue growth in the software and services industry was again healthy, with total Software 500 revenue of $643.6 billion worldwide for 2011, representing approximately 17 percent growth from the previous year's list," said John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine.
"The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers, and IT staff research and create a short list of business partners," added Desmond. "It is a quick reference of vendor viability. And the online version, posted at www.softwaremag.com, is searchable by category, making it what we call the online catalog to enterprise software."
The Software 500 rankings are based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2011, including revenue from software licenses, maintenance and support, training, and software-related services and consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on total corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such as hardware. Financial information was gathered by a survey prepared by Rockport Custom Publishing, LLC and posted at www.softwaremag.com, as well as from public documents.
"More companies recognized greater needs for efficient and secure partner integration this past year, which challenged EXTOL to enhance our high-performance software suite even further," said Jim O'Leary, vice president of product management for EXTOL. "Being named a top software provider reflects the commitment and hard work of our team to deliver exceptional products and service, and we look forward to expanding our capabilities even further in the coming months."
The complete 2012 Software 500 list was released in the Fall issue of Software Magazine, as both a print and digital publication. Click here to view the complete list.
