EXTOL International Announces Major Update to Business Integration Platform
POTTSVILLE, Pa., Oct. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- EXTOL, a leading provider of business integration software and services, has launched a significant upgrade to its premiere integration platform, EXTOL Business Integrator (EBI).
The fourth major release of EBI streamlines and upgrades platform functionality in four key areas: server clustering for high availability, role-based security access, advanced email capability and document queue management and monitoring. These new features are closely integrated and designed to support other functions within the platform.
Server clustering delivers high availability of integration services and infrastructure and better fault tolerance for critical systems. The result keeps the flow of revenue and business documents moving without interruption or unacceptable downtime. In this release, EBI will distribute tasks among multiple machines while providing views of active processes, and queue job throughput for single server and server clusters.
EBI's enhanced access control and security capabilities facilitate role-based user permissions through an easy-to-use interface for managing users, roles and passwords using a dedicated Admin Console. Access to project deployment, queue priorities and runtime changes can be also managed at the individual or group level.
Updated email adapters and monitoring functions in EBI extend trading partner communications options while still following industry adopted security and transport algorithms. The Email Receive Monitor polls and captures data directly from an email attachment or email body to launch a business process and begin the transformation process in EBI. The new Send Adapter now allows users to use multiple Email Servers for enterprise interoperability.
Proactive system resource management is achieved through EBI's new Document Queue Management and Monitoring. The system enables dynamic configuration, prioritization and allocation of resources to incoming or outgoing document queues to ensure business continuity. This ensures high-value partners, processes and documents are given priority.
"With this latest version of EBI, users can utilize an even stronger, more flexible and highly scalable business integration platform, backed by our top ranked services and support team," said Jeff Inns, vice president of Product Infrastructure at EXTOL. "The new features are designed to help our customers drive quicker time to revenue through faster processes, lower risk of errors, and enhanced business-wide visibility of all data transactions."
