Company Reports Securing Jobs for 205,929 People in 2010

OKLAHOMA CITY, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Express Employment Professionals, a staffing company headquartered in Oklahoma City with more than 550 offices in the U.S., Canada, Australia and South Africa, reported a weekly sales record of $39.1 million for its North American operations for the week of Aug. 23-29.

The company's previous one-week sales volume record, $37.9 million, was set one week earlier. Express has set a new sales record five times in North America in 2010.

"We have experienced record-setting sales since the start of the year due in large measure to companies of every size turning to our franchise offices to attract, recruit and place qualified people in a variety of professional and trade jobs during these challenging economic times," said Robert A. Since the beginning of 2010, Express franchise offices have helped 205,929 people find jobs. Between April and August, 14,773 unemployed people found work through Express.

Express reported sales for the past 12 weeks have increased 60 percent compared to the same 12-week period in 2009. Overall, year-to-date sales are up 45 percent.

"We see no signs that the current sales and placement activity will weaken this year," Funk said. "We expect strong sales and placement activity to continue in the fourth quarter."

Express' strongest sales activity is traditionally in the fourth quarter. The staffing company projects an estimated $1.7 billion in sales by year end, which is an increase of 48 percent compared to 2009. The sales projection is 8.3% greater than the company's previous highest year in 2007.
