EXPO® Joins 'The Today Show' Lend A Hand Charity Tour
Leading Maker of Dry Erase Products Donates $100,000 in Supplies to Charities Nationwide
OAK BROOK, Ill., June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- EXPO®, maker of dry erase markers, whiteboards and accessories announced today, it will donate $100,000 in supplies to the Lend a Hand charity tour sponsored by NBC's "The Today Show." In its ninth year, the week long, five-city effort helps small non-profit groups across the country work toward improving conditions in their communities.
EXPO® is donating 20,000 markers, dry erase boards and accessories to each of the five charities – a donation valued at over $100,000. In addition, during the Lend a Hand tour, EXPO® will donate one additional marker for each individual that "likes" EXPO® on its Facebook page, up to 10,000 markers.
Beginning June 21, the tour will stop in five cities, visiting five deserving non-profit organizations in five days. Stops include San Francisco, Calif.; Bozeman, Mont. and three other cities to be announced each day. "As a result of the down economy, small charities need help now more than ever," said Steve Gradman, Director of marketing for EXPO®. "We're happy to lend a hand to such a worthy cause."
