Explain Everything begins summer with big updates for iPad, Chromebook
NEW YORK, July 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Explain Everything kicks off the summer with updates for the iPad and Chromebook versions of its leading interactive whiteboard, new options for centralized purchasing and deployment, particularly for schools, and new partnerships.
On iPad, the last two remaining major features to be ported from Explain Everything Classic - the math equation editor and simplified interface mode - arrived in version 1.50 of the new application, now simply called Explain Everything. In addition, new options for MDM management of application licenses and "user-account-free" deployments were introduced, making it even easier for a school to purchase and deploy the subscription-based platform. A standalone, one-time purchase version of the new application was added to the App Store so that schools and other institutions can purchase and deploy Explain Everything via Apple's Volume Purchase Program.
On Chromebooks, Explain Everything was updated to have a new white user interface, improved support and integrations with Google Drive and Classroom, and easier student access to Explain Everything through integration with Google sign-on. It is now also being sold as part of Google's creative apps on Chromebooks program, which can be purchased at a discount from Chromebook resellers.
Explain Everything has two additional new partnerships, first with school website and LMS provider Finalsite, where Explain Everything is adding new integrations and workflows for teachers and students who use both products. The second is with ClassWallet, a paperless service for teachers to manage sourcing, purchasing and accounting in schools.
