About David Dufendach, CPA/ABV, ASA
David Dufendach is a Partner in the Forensic and Valuation Services practice of Grant Thornton LLP and is located in Seattle. He specializes in the valuation of businesses and business segments, intangible assets, intellectual property, financial instruments, derivatives, and related matters for financial statement reporting, corporate planning, and other purposes. Within the Valuation Services practice, he is the U.S. director of quality control with respect to valuations for financial reporting purposes. Randy is a Senior Manager in the San Francisco valuation services practice for Grant Thornton. He has experience in valuations for financial accounting, tax and reorganization purposes for both US and international companies, including purchase accounting, equity valuation, stock-based compensation valuation, impairment testing and complex financial instruments. Randy is a member of Grant Thornton's Complex Financial Instruments group. Randy's industry experience includes work for technology, cleantech, healthcare, financial, entrepreneurial and manufacturing clients. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, he had worked in the semiconductor industry as a product engineer at Micron Technology, Inc. and a design verification engineer at Fast-Chip, Inc. He earned his M.Sc in Finance from the College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he was elected to the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. He earned his M.Sc and B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
