Experienced Higher Education Leader Joins Civitas Learning to Support Growing Change Management and Analytics Services
Austin-based student success company adds Dr. Angela Baldasare to services team, expanding its group of national experts helping institutions navigate student success challenges
AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Civitas Learning announced a key expansion of its services team with the hiring of Dr. Angela Baldasare, a former Assistant Provost for Institutional Research at University of Arizona, as a Senior Strategic Consultant. A nationally recognized expert in using data and analytics for student success, Dr. Baldasare will serve as a senior member of the company's growing Services team, which focuses on consulting and change management services for institutions using analytics and student success technology to improve students' outcomes and experience.
Dr. Baldasare joins Civitas Learning from her most recent role as the Assistant Provost for Institutional Research at the University of Arizona (UA), which she took on in 2014. This followed four years as the founding Director of Divisional Assessment and Research for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at UA.

During her time at UA, the institution achieved nationwide recognition for its pioneering efforts to use data science and analytics to improve student success and efficacy measurement, driving retention rates to an all-time high using the Civitas Learning platform. Additionally, the university's breakthrough findings on the impact of college GPA on retention were highlighted in the first-ever Civitas Learning Community Insights report.
