Experience CompTIA IT Pro Day on December 7

First-time free virtual event will feature expert insights into today's hot tech topics

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Dec. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Thought-provoking conversations on today's biggest technology topics and an opportunity to earn continuing education credits highlight this week's IT Pro Day 2016, presented by CompTIA, the world's leading technology association.

The free, first-time virtual event begins at 10:20 a.m. CST on Wednesday, December 7.

Industry experts will be on hand throughout the day to deliver insights on the issues, trends and topics impacting the jobs of today's IT professionals, including sessions on cloud computing and security analytics.

Attendees who participate in any or all of the four educational sessions on IT Pro Day 2016 will earn CompTIA Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards renewal of their qualifying CompTIA certifications. IT Pro Day 2016 kicks off with a welcome from program host Seth Robinson, CompTIA's senior director for technology analysis, followed by keynote remarks from CompTIA President and CEO Todd Thibodeaux.

ITIL for the Front Line IT Professional – An overview of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and its relationship to the day-to-day work of IT professionals on the front lines.

Security Analytics: Tools of the Trade – Learn about common open source tools used to implement security analytics.

Cloud vs. Enterprise: Impact of Today's Approaches to Providing Services – A discussion about the benefits and drawbacks to cloud services, as well as on-premise applications and services.
