WEST HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- SCIO Health Analytics today announced that it has released an updated and enhanced version of its SCIOVantage solution that offers enhanced financial performance and insight to clients, delivers heightened quality reporting and provides an expanded data strategy.
SCIOVantage is a solution suite that simplifies care and network optimization by drawing knowledge out of data and offering a view of actionable insights. The SCIOVantage solution suite aids organizations in making better clinical and financial decisions by connecting disparate data sources and offering helpful views that describe what happened, predict what will happen, and prescribe what should happen to achieve optimal results.
Enhancements to the latest version of SCIOVantage include:
- Expanded financial insights: Managing cost trends across employee populations is critical to clients as they continue to see healthcare costs increase each year. SCIOVantage is now offering a robust set of analytics and reporting to deliver insight into cost trends and how those costs compare to overall spend and utilization. Clients will be able to better fiscally align resources to mitigate and plan for financial risk.
- Heightened quality reporting: As organizations seek to better align key programs around improving quality outcomes, SCIO is delivering heightened ability to report on compliance with key measures in the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) program. In addition to the existing insights currently delivered by SCIOVantage, the newest release includes broadening the HEDIS-like reporting to include wellness measures, such as whether members/patients are receiving annual dental visits. Additionally, due to newly released measures by the National Committee for Quality Assurance, SCIOVantage now features reporting around key pediatric measures to help ensure compliance and quality outcomes.
- Enhanced data strategy: SCIO now enables clients to bring their existing third-party electronic health records (EHR) data into the SCIOVantage platform. The platform leverages the EHR data to deliver insights on key areas across the population to better understand current health status.
"As organizations increasingly turn to population health management to improve care and lower costs, they are confronted with a large volume of disparate data that makes it difficult for organizations to glean meaningful insights about their populations, resulting in critical care gaps and the unnecessary utilization of resources," said Eileen Cianciolo, chief product officer with SCIO Health Analytics. "The latest release of the SCIOVantage platform will enable better population health management through a deeper view into cost trends, expanded quality reporting and an enhanced data strategy."
