Exhibitors at Intersolar North America Return in 2013 to Forge Crucial Business Connections
Solar professionals converge at the country's most attended solar trade show to build their brands
SAN FRANCISCO, June 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The number of critical business leads generated, insights into new technologies gained and the measurable boost in brand value realized, top the list of reasons why many industry-leading solar companies exhibit again at Intersolar North America, the most attended industry exhibition and conference in North America for solar professionals to exchange information and develop business opportunities in the U.S. solar market.
"Intersolar is one of the best trade shows for the North American market," said Sam Arditi, CEO of Tigo Energy, a solar optimizer and PV monitoring provider. "Being able to reach our target audience and connect with decision makers consistently makes Intersolar North America a no-brainer for Tigo
Energy. Last year we generated over 350 qualified business leads."
For the sixth year in a row, Intersolar North America plans to welcome approximately 19,000 visitors and over 650 exhibitors to the Moscone Center to exchange ideas and technological progress, spurring solar market growth in North America and beyond. The majority of visitors expected in July have
previously attended Intersolar North America. Last year's post-show survey found that 88 percent of exhibitors agreed that they reached their target audience on site and would recommend the show to other business partners. Satisfaction with the exhibition experience and quality of networking -- 72
percent of attendees are in management positions -- prompts many solar professionals to come back to the Moscone Center year after year.
The wide variety of conference topics and technologies on display in six exhibition segments attracts solar professionals across the supply chain, from PV technology engineers, to project finance and
installation professionals. Balance of system component players and PV module manufacturers are among the companies that maintain the largest booth presence. Visitors can expect companies such as SolarWorld Americas, LLC, CentroSolar America Inc., Yingli Green Energy Americas Inc., Jinko Solar Co., Ltd., Talesun Solar Co., Ltd., ABB Inc., Solectria Renewables, LLC, SolarEdge Technologies Inc., SolarBridge Technologies, and Trina Solar Inc. to host notable exhibits again this July.
Reflecting the latest trends of the solar industry, Intersolar North America added two new special
exhibition floor highlights to this year's show -- the E-Mobility section on the first floor of Moscone West and a dedicated energy storage exhibition segment on Moscone West's second level. This increased focus on solutions that play an important role in the complete suite of solar system technologies has attracted a variety of new companies to Intersolar. For example, the E-Mobility section attracted
sponsors ranging from PV carport companies to electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers to EV charging stations providers, such as Baja Construction Co., BMW, BMZ-USA Inc., IKR Energy Corporation and Shoals Technologies Group.
"Intersolar North America is a principal venue for interacting with industry leaders, learning about
industry trends, networking, and brand-building. Solaire's position as the market leader for solar
parking solutions has been solidified in part through its continued participation in Intersolar North America," said Laurence Mackler, CEO and founder of Solaire Generation, which is exhibiting for the third year at Intersolar. "Intersolar North America is like the solar industry's version of fashion week: it's the place to see and be seen."
Intersolar's global reach also attracts many exhibitors looking to reach audiences worldwide, while minimizing resource required for planning and logistics. Companies such as Schletter Inc., SMA and Mitsubishi Electric Inc. maintain a presence at three to four events a year. Exhibitors are also finding secondary methods of participation beyond their booth beneficial to their business. Companies take advantage of presentation opportunities, popular each year, like the Innovation and Application stage sponsored by Bonfiglioli Riduttori SpA, a forum to showcase products and services to other exhibitors and journalists. Additionally, many exhibitors utilize resources available for press outreach.
"Intersolar North America has been on our must-attend list for more than six years. It delivers exactly what we value in an event: international leads, industry contacts and access to the latest PV
technology and trends," said Harvey Wilkinson, general manager of Outback Power, a designer and manufacturer of advanced power electronics for renewable energy. "At Intersolar 2013, we'll also help attendees get started toward their NABCEP PV Installer Certification or Solar PV Recertification during a special-edition Outback Power half-day class -- an introduction to the comprehensive three-day program OutBack Power is now offering in its two training facilities."
Other exhibitors have opted to take advantage of venue space to hold training programs. Solectria will offer attendees the opportunity to learn about commercial and utility-scale inverter installations and SolarTech plans to hold a session on reducing PV soft costs.
"Our primary objective is to deliver meaningful opportunities to exhibitors and visitors of Intersolar North America that drive their business goals forward and stimulate growth in the solar industry as a whole," said Markus Elsasser and Klaus W. Seilnacht in a joint statement, respective CEOs of the
Intersolar organizing companies, Solar Promotion International and FMMI International GmbH. "We are extremely pleased solar professionals find the insights gained from our high-level conference program and access to our global network of great value. We continue to build upon the successes of our shows worldwide each year, in order to generate more benefits for our partners."
