Exceptional Local High School Students Go to the Head of the Class as Winners of This Year's S&T Bank Smart Start(SM) Scholarship

INDIANA, Pa., June 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- S&T Bank (NASDAQ: STBA), a full-service financial institution with branch locations in 11 Pennsylvania counties, is calling on three exceptional local high school students to come to the head of the class and be recognized for their outstanding scholastic record.

All three are recipients of a $1,000 college scholarship through the S&T Bank Smart Start^SM Scholarship Program 2013.

This year's recipients come from across the region and have already made plans on how they will further their education:

Amy Achenbach, a 2013 graduate of Butler Area High School, will attend the University of Pittsburgh to study history.
Joshua Ellwood, a 2013 graduate of Norwin High School, will attend The Pennsylvania State University – University Park where he will study engineering.
Ryan Schilling, a 2013 graduate of Kittanning Senior High School, will attend Duquesne University to study health management systems/pre-health.
