Bock will provide strategy and delivery expertise for Excella's clients to help them implement DevOps and realize the benefits of automation, virtualization and cloud technology. He will also continue the firm's work leading DevOps and technology groups in the DC area, such as the DevOpsDC Meetup, DC Continuous Delivery Meetup and DevOpsDays DC.

Bock has over 25 years of experience in software engineering, in both the federal and commercial space.

Prior to joining Excella, Bock was the Director of Engineering - Special Projects for LivingSocial and a co-founder of the technology firm CodeSherpas. He frequently speaks in local and national technology venues on subjects related to Java, Ruby, DevOps, software project management and Computer Science education. He is a graduate of Ithaca College and the Executive Director of the Loudoun Computer Science Initiative, a non-profit bringing supplemental and extracurricular computer science education to K-12 students.
