In making the announcement Hoffman said, "The unprecedented change generated by the new Administration represents real opportunity for the nuclear industry, but it also may pose challenges – its policies on climate change, fossil fuels and renewables, and emphasis on America First are already creating a new landscape for the entire energy industry and for nuclear energy particularly. We recognize that rapid change lies ahead, so we have created an enhanced scope of services and staff to help our clients, old and new, respond rapidly and successfully. Our new and expanded team of leading experts, with over 600 years of collective industry experience, will offer an absolutely unparalleled level and breadth of skill and service to help our clients address whatever challenges may lie ahead."
Heading the company's new Critical Infrastructure Protection line is Richard Rosano, formerly Chief of Nuclear Security at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Rosano will serve as Senior Vice President and will oversee a distinguished group of industry experts to establish the highest levels of service in critical infrastructure security including physical, cyber, and information security.
Mark Satorius, formerly Executive Director for Operations at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, joins EXCEL as the company's new Senior Vice President, Executive Performance Solutions. He and his team will combine their unmatched knowledge and experience to create solutions for clients with critical and difficult regulatory and legal challenges. Thanks to that expertise, EXCEL is positioned, with unmatched depth and expertise, to offer the best regulatory support available anywhere.
Senior Vice President, Business Development, Michael McMahon will oversee EXCEL's sales, marketing, and business development activities, including customer relationship management, sales planning, order development, and customer satisfaction. McMahon has more than 25 years of engineering, leadership, project management, sales, and business development experience in the commercial nuclear industry and the nuclear navy, including 17 years at the global nuclear energy company AREVA.
EXCEL is ideally and uniquely positioned to help its clients prepare for the challenges faced in the rapidly evolving energy industry. With deeper expertise and broader reach into solutions for operating safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, EXCEL can now do even more to create sustained value for energy producers, and for any client responsible for protecting critical infrastructure, managing and mitigating risks, and strengthening all aspects of operational excellence in an increasingly demanding environment.
