Exar Corporation Hires Tuomas Hollman as Division Vice President
FREMONT, Calif., Jan. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Exar Corporation (NYSE: EXAR), a leading supplier of analog mixed-signal products serving the industrial, high-end consumer and infrastructure markets, announced that Tuomas Hollman has joined Exar as Division Vice President of Power Management products. In this leadership role, Mr. Hollman has oversight of strategy, product development and marketing of Exar's growing portfolio of power management ICs. He reports to James Lougheed, Exar's Vice President, Sales and Marketing.
"Tuomas has spent over a decade in the analog industry and brings to this job both an engineer's perspective for IC design and a business leader's insights into global markets," said Lougheed. "The addition of Tuomas to our team will aid greatly in duplicating our recent successes in the power management market."
Mr. Hollman began his career at Texas Instruments in 2001 as an applications engineer. He has since held a number of positions with the company, including Director for mobile lighting & power and high voltage integration product lines.
Mr. Hollman earned his master's degree in electrical engineering from Helsinki University of Technology, as well as a master's degree in economics and business administration from Helsinki School of Economics.
