Exar Corporation Adds Senior Sales and Marketing Executive

FREMONT, Calif., June 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Exar Corporation (Nasdaq: EXAR) announced today that Steve Bakos will join the Company on July 9, 2012 as Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing reporting to company president and CEO Louis DiNardo.  Mr. Bakos will replace Chris Dingley who previously served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales.

Prior to joining Exar Corporation, Mr. Bakos served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Conexant Corporation.  Mr. Bakos has held executive sales and marketing positions at SiTime, a privately held manufacturer of MEMS devices; Active Semiconductor, a privately held power management company, as well as Intersil, Xicor and Linear Technology.  Mr. Bakos began his career at National Semiconductor after completing his B.S.E.E. at Cornell University.
