DENVER, April 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Examiner.com, the leading online publisher featuring local expertise from over 85,000 contributors, has inked a content relationship with Care.com (http://www.care.com/), an online resource helping families connect and meet with quality local caregivers for children, adults & seniors, pets and home & lifestyle. As part of the agreement, Examiner.com's contributing writers will deliver local expertise to pen original how-to articles, provide expert interviews and more on the subjects of babysitting, nannies, housekeeping, pet sitters and tutoring for Care.com and its readers. Examiner.com's local writers provide the necessary hometown touch needed for reviewing specific providers and services.
The content relationship will launch on April 1, 2012 and Examiners, or contributors, who will participate in this editorial process will be carefully selected based on their knowledge and area of expertise in the verticals needed for Care.com. Examiners will be chosen for the program through the Examiner.com editorial advisors and ACE, the Examiner.com management tool. The program will be managed through the Examiner.com Assignment Center, a targeted content development tool where selected Examiners can browse and opt-in to assignments and commit to deliver high-quality articles on demand.
"The importance of community in helping families locate a trusted care provider is central to our mission at Care.com," said Erica Scheik, Chief Brand Officer of Care.com.
