Secretary Bryson was recently named by the President to co-chair the White House Office of Manufacturing Policy to help better coordinate policy across the entire administration. The Commerce Department recently created the National Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Program Office to bring together stakeholders and drive investments in advanced manufacturing.
According to Henry Cialone, EWI President and CEO, "We were honored to provide our facility for this important event. Secretary Bryson underscored the importance of manufacturing to our nation's health. At EWI, we believe that U.S. manufacturing can regain its previous status as world leader, but bold steps must be taken now. Currently, EWI and The Manufacturing Institute are collaborating on the development of an innovation infrastructure model that will enable our country to mature and commercialize breakthrough technologies more quickly. Industry response to our proposed Manufacturing Accelerator Network has been very strong, and we look forward to sharing the concept with State and Federal Government agencies next month."
