Emily DeRocco, Brian Cummings, and Maureen Normoyle added; Richard Rogovin elected to Chair
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- EWI announced that it added three new members to its Board of Directors and elected Richard Rogovin as Chairman of the Board.

The new members of the EWI Board of Directors are:
Emily DeRocco, President of The Manufacturing Institute, the non-profit, non-partisan affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers, where she has launched and implemented a strategic national agenda on education reform and workforce development, innovation support and services, and research on behalf of U.S. manufacturers. DeRocco was nominated by President Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the Assistant Secretary of Labor in 2001, and has over 10 years of private sector experience. She is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and received her juris doctorate from Georgetown Law Center.
Brian Cummings, Vice President of Technology Commercialization & Knowledge Transfer at The Ohio State University, where he is responsible for coordinating all aspects of knowledge transfer and technology development with a special focus on building a proactive and responsive culture. Previously, Cummings served as Executive Director of the Technology Commercialization Office at the University of Utah and Associate Vice President for Technology Ventures. Cummings holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix, a master's of science in genetic engineering, and a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
Maureen Normoyle, General Manager for the GE Aviation/Transportation Repair Technology Center of Excellence, where her team is responsible for identifying, developing, and supporting repair solutions for the Technology Infrastructure businesses. In addition to managing the aviation repair technology portfolio, Normoyle also brings experience from GE's Energy and Transportation businesses. She received her bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Manhattan College.

The newly elected Chairman of the Board, Richard Rogovin, is Chairman of U.S. Bridge and an international business lawyer with Shumaker Loop & Kendrick. Rogovin has been a member of the EWI Board for six years. He studied engineering and political science at Cornell University and law at the University of Pennsylvania, and has served on a number of state boards and commissions. Rogovin replaces Dennis Crockett, who after eight years as Chairman moved to Vice Chair, where he will continue to provide EWI with steady leadership and wise counsel.
