Software and Technology Executive Joins the Leading Entertaining Brand as it enters a New Phase of Growth
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Evite (www.Evite.com), the leader in digital invitations and social planning since 1998, announced the appointment of Victor Cho as Chief Executive Officer of the company starting immediately. Cho will lead Evite into a new phase of development that will redefine the brand and the party planning space. Prior to joining Evite, Cho spent over four years as the president and CEO of Kodak Gallery, where he led a holistic, multi-year turn-around of Kodak's global photo-sharing network. Before Kodak, he headed marketing and commerce at Intuit where he grew web channel revenue from $300 million to over $1 billion in four years.
"We are excited to welcome someone of Victor's caliber to Evite. His experience scaling and repositioning several eCommerce organizations will enable him to build on Evite's existing strength in digital invitations," stated Greg Maffei, president and CEO of Liberty Interactive Corporation, Evite's parent company. "Evite was founded in 1998 and has built an enduring brand with over 25,000 digital invitations sent every hour and we look forward to capitalizing on this ubiquity."
Earlier in his career, Cho served as the senior vice president of operations and strategy at iVillage, and spent seven years at Microsoft in the 1990's, where he was responsible for developing early Internet and software-as-a-service businesses within the company's consumer products division. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 and currently resides in San Francisco.
"Evite is a name that's synonymous with digital invitations, and going forward we will advance the customer experience and deliver innovative new mobile-centric products and services that empower party planners and guests," said Victor Cho, CEO of Evite. "I am incredibly excited to lead Evite into a new phase of growth by delivering products and services that make special events truly effortless for our customers."
