Throughout the week, MADD will highlight amazing mom stories at www.madd.org and on Facebook and Twitter. One amazing mom, Laura Dean-Mooney, encourages her daughter to be the next generation of MADD as the organization approaches its 30th year. "My husband was killed by a drunk driver when our daughter was only 8 months old. She is now 19 and understands the important work MADD accomplishes," said Dean-Mooney, MADD national president, who is from Texas.
MADD is a 501C3 non-profit with a mission to stop drunk driving, support victims of this violent crime and to prevent underage drinking.
