Evernote & Dow Jones Bring The Power Of The Wall Street Journal & Factiva To The Evernote Digital Workspace
New Context feature in Evernote apps integrates Dow Jones content
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Evernote yesterday announced a partnership with Dow Jones & Company that will combine the Evernote productivity workspace with content from The Wall Street Journal and Factiva. With this integration, Evernote will automatically surface articles from The Wall Street Journal and Factiva that are relevant to a subscriber's work in progress.
This new collaboration represents part of a larger initiative by Evernote to provide one workspace that meets the core needs of the modern knowledge worker.
"A news article is incredibly impactful when delivered at the exact moment it's most relevant to the work you're doing," said Phil Libin, CEO of Evernote. "With this partnership, we are able to put the power of The Wall Street Journal and Factiva directly into a user's workspaces. It's an unprecedented collaboration for us and an incredibly valuable one for our users and the work they do."
Using technologies developed by Evernote's Augmented Intelligence team, Evernote actively calls up already completed work, detailed profiles of relevant people and, by month's end, pertinent articles from The Wall Street Journal and Factiva to create a comprehensive, powerful context view that will support and inform work as it happens.
"This partnership redefines successful workflow by empowering users with high-quality journalism that is relevant to their work in progress," said Edward Roussel, head of products at Dow Jones. "We are pleased to offer our mutual subscribers this enhancement, while welcoming new subscribers to the Dow Jones suite of products."
The integrated content feature will be available for Evernote, The Wall Street Journal, and Factiva subscribers within the next month. The collaboration launches first for English-language users on Evernote for Mac and Evernote for iOS, with support for Android, Windows and additional languages to follow.
Through the partnership, The Wall Street Journal's WSJ+ members in the U.S. and all international subscribers qualify for one year of Evernote Premium ($45 value). Factiva subscribers are eligible for a five-seat Evernote Business account for one year (a $600 value).
The full suite of Context features, including related Journal content, people, and notes, will be available to all Evernote Premium subscribers. Teams using Evernote Business will see an expanded Context section with content from Factiva.
