Evergreen Elks to Start Operation Silver Spurs

CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Evergreen Elks Lodge will promote Silver Spurs program, a local Veterans outreach program. They will identify veterans who would benefit, provide transportation and act as volunteers. They will also sponsor two sessions of 4-6 veterans each.

Operation Silver Spurs- Local veteran outreach program will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the Evergreen Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, Evergreen Elks Lodge No. 2363 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
