WASHINGTON, Oct. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Events DC, the official convention and sports authority for the District of Columbia, announced today the multi-year award and contract renewal to Hi-Tech Electric, LLC. As a long-standing partner at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Hi-Tech will continue to provide temporary utility services to show managers, exhibitors and contractors for the Convention Center and all other Events DC venues.

Hi-Tech has been the exclusive utilities service provider of the Convention Center since 2003 and has supported such notable events as the Washington Auto Show, the Association of the United States Army, Microsoft, the USA Science and Engineering Festival, the Nuclear Security Summit and numerous presidential inaugural balls. By investing millions to expand its inventory of specialized and customized equipment, Hi-Tech has given exemplary service to servicing the Convention Center and its customers. The company has provided electrical, water and plumbing contracting services for conventions, trade shows, special events, hotels and other large venues across the East and West Coast since 1999.

Hi-Tech is recognized by the District of Columbia Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) as a certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and a Certified Business Enterprise (CBE).
In addition to serving as Events DC's official show utilities contractor, Hi-Tech has also worked with Events DC as an electrical contractor for capital improvement projects, renovations and construction work. The base term of the contract will be for ten years with a renewal option for another five-year period.
Hi-Tech will work on all 2017 and 2018 upcoming events at the Convention Center including the 2018 Washington Auto Show, Digestive Disease Week, the MLB All-Star Fan Fest and the International Gas Union in June 2018.
