EVENT: Texas Virtual Academy Makes Noise for National School Choice Week - January 31
TYLER, Texas, Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Virtual Academy will encourage students, teachers and families to "make some noise for school choice" at an event at Green Acres Bowl, school leaders announced today. The event, which will be held during the week of January 27-31, will be part of 5,500+ independently-planned ones taking place during National School Choice Week 2014 – the nation's largest-ever celebration of educational opportunity.

Texas Virtual Academy is a public charter online school in the state of Texas that serves about 6,500 students. Students will also be participating in three National School Choice Week Whistle Stop events in San Antonio, Austin and Houston. The students will be singing the National Anthem, saying the Pledge of Allegiance, ringing the NSCW bell, and speaking briefly about why school choice matters.
