Event-Tech Giant AllSeated Brings Virtual Reality Experience for Event Planning into Facebook's Oculus.
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- AllSeated today announced that its 360 RealPlans-3D, the event planning industry's first and only genuine virtual reality capability, is now available on a wide range of VR headsets including Facebook's revolutionary Oculus, HTC's Vive, and the Samsung Gear VR. With the announcement, AllSeated underscores the fact that the events industry is in the business of creating experiences, and AllSeated's vivid 3D visualization pre-delivers those experiences to venues and vendors' clients in a way that has never previously been possible.
As the long-time pioneer in event planning technologies and innovation, AllSeated's collaborative planning tools are used today in more than ten percent of all corporate and social events in North America. The company's breakthrough VR offering breaks the mold of traditional efficiency tools, and completely transforms the way venues and vendors sell, plan and deliver world-class events.
"Imagine a prestigious venue that has a spectacular ballroom, beautiful chandeliers, and a magical marble and imperial staircase that gracefully rises from the floor," said Jim Bruels, Director of Event & Sales at Bently Reserve, a world-class venue in San Francisco. "With AllSeated's virtual reality, we can transport clients into our venue from anywhere in the world, immersing them in an authentic sensory experience that truly lets them visualize their event. We can sell them the experience on the spot."
AllSeated's 360 RealPlans-3D is available today on Oculus headsets and others from within the standard AllSeated platform. Designed from scratch as a hardware-agnostic initiative, the company's advanced VR experience is expected to be available on all VR headsets by early summer 2018.
When Facebook bought VR pioneer Oculus for more than $2 billion, it marked the first shift of VR into a wide range of non-gaming applications. Just last October, the company reached an important new milestone in its quest to bring VR to a billion people with the introduction of Oculus Go, scheduled to be release early 2018, its first standalone headset. Unencumbered by connector wires, Oculus Go liberated VR to serve a wider, more mainstream audience, and will escalate AllSeated's delivery of VR to the vast event-planning community, including the company's more than 100,000 users.
Armed with two-decades of experience developing 3D and gaming technologies, AllSeated's innovation goal has always been to inject operational efficiencies into the process of designing events, delivering a true advantage across the event-planning ecosystem and helping venues close more business.
"By bringing the collaborative realism of virtual reality to event planning, AllSeated is enabling the event community to recoup one of the biggest ROI in the history of event technology," says AllSeated CMO and co-founder Sandy Hammer. "The opportunities for growth of small vendors, and venues of all sizes are truly endless. Some of our customer's report closing more than 10 new events a year solely due to event visualization on AllSeated – a 10X ROI. We see VR increasing that number significantly going forward."
