RIFSC is a coalition of like-minded families of students enrolled in schools in Rhode Island in grades K-12 who are seeking to expand parental choice in education. For more information, visit http://www.edchoiceri.org/.
"The Rhode Island Catholic School Parent Federation is proud to support Rhode Island Families for School Choice in this initiative to bring greater opportunities for parental choice in education in Rhode Island," said Edward J. Bastia of the Catholic School Office.
"The Federation does not subscribe to the existing general mindset that educational opportunities should be limited and mandated by one's street address. As primary educators of their child, we believe that parents should be given the opportunity to choose the educational environment that best meets the needs of their child."
"We're thrilled that RIFSC is participating in National School Choice Week," said Andrew Campanella, NSCW president. "We hear a lot about education in the news, but families involved with Rhode Island Families for School Choice remind us that every single day, there are great things happening in schools of choice across America."
National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for children – including traditional public schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, private schools, online academies, and homeschooling. For more information, visit www.schoolchoiceweek.com
