Event Architects Grows, Rebrands as agencyEA
Chicago-based experiential marketing agency unveils new corporate identity, announces executive-level positions and creative department
CHICAGO, April 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Event Architects announced today a new corporate identity and brand, adopting agencyEA as its new name. The Chicago-based experiential marketing agency also revealed a new website showcasing work with esteemed clients such as Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions, The Boeing Company, GE Healthcare and the Obama Administration.
"As we anticipated the evolving needs of our clients, we recognized it was imperative for us to develop an agency model," said Fergus Rooney, owner and CEO. "The new name is a reflection of who we've become in the past two years and represents the expanded capabilities and expertise we offer our clients."
That expertise includes the development and integration of a new Creative Services department, spearheaded by co-directors Clinton Withers and Chase Gooch. Rooney and managing partner Gabrielle Martinez also introduced two new executive-level positions: Rick Weber as Vice President of Client Services and Jon Kirsch as Director of Production Services.
While agencyEA now boasts a staff of 30 full-time employees and an 8,500 square-foot office in Chicago's River North neighborhood, Rooney maintains a healthy respect for the agency's origins.
"AgencyEA began as Event Architects in 1999 with just two employees and two clients," he recalls. "Back then, a typical project for us was a small conference or event for a local Chicago business."
Over a twelve-year period, EA grew to a full-service experiential marketing agency, conceptualizing and executing events all over the world. By 2011, EA handled the Inauguration of Barack Obama, the reveal and first flight of Boeing's new 747-8 Intercontinental, and The Oprah Winfrey Show's "Ultimate Australian Adventure." In 2010, EA was named to the Inc. 5000 list, an exclusive annual ranking of America's fastest-growing businesses.
"Our change has been evolutionary in nature," adds Martinez, who was recognized as one of Crain's Chicago Business "40 Under 40" in 2009. "We have taken the most important parts of who we are and built upon them."
Rooney and Martinez will now focus on setting a strategic course for the future of agencyEA – a vision that includes aggressive expansion into new markets across the United States.
"Our recent changes have strategically positioned us for continued, optimal growth," added Rooney. "As agencyEA, we look forward to providing the same outstanding and innovative solutions our clients expect."
