Evening Land Vineyards Earns Highest Score Ever For Oregon Chardonnay
LOMPOC, Calif., Nov. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- After earning a spot as one of Wine & Spirits' "Top 100 Wineries" for a third year in a row, and producing the magazine's highest- rated Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Evening Land Vineyards has now landed Wine Spectator's (Dec. 2011 issue) highest score ever for an Oregon Chardonnay: the 97-point 2009 Seven Springs La Source. This is only the third 97-point rating ever awarded to an Oregon wine by Wine Spectator.

In addition to impressing critics with its Oregon wines, Evening Land is also dazzling the palettes of Robert Parker's Wine Advocate with its California Pinots.
The 94-point 2009 Occidental Pinot Noir "is gorgeous," writes Wine Advocate's Antonio Gallioni. "Sweet, silky tannins frame an expressive core of fruit in this refined, subtle wine. The finish is refined and haunting."
The 93+ rated 2009 Tempest Pinot Noir "is simply dazzling for its aromatic complexity and textural richness," writes Gallioni. "Everything is about effortless grace in this exquisite, beautifully balanced Pinot."
