Eva Longoria Hosts PADRES Contra El Cancer's® 12th Annual 'EL SUENO DE ESPERANZA(SM)' Gala At The Tropicana Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On September 29^th, 2012 EVA LONGORIA hosted PADRES CONTRA EL CANCER'S (PADRES) 12^th annual fund-raising gala, 'EL SUENO DE ESPERANZA' along with committed supporter, GEORGE LOPEZ who acted as Master of Ceremonies. The star-studded event was held at the Tropicana Las Vegas and funds raised from the Gala will benefit children with cancer and support PADRES families in California, South Florida, New York City and Las Vegas, NV.

Academy Award Nominee EDWARD JAMES OLMOS and three-time Olympic Gold Medalist KERRI WALSH JENNINGS presented awards to MATTEL CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL UCLA and Los Angeles Lakers forward METTA WORLD PEACE, who were both honored for their inspiring contributions to the pediatric cancer community. 

The evening included live musical performances by Latin Grammy Award Nominees ALEKS SYNTEK and SHAILA DURCAL, who also joined together on stage and treated guests to a special duet. The event was attended by over 400 leaders in business and philanthropy and celebrity supporters that included: ITATI CANTORAL (Actress), GIL CEDILLO (Assemblymember), SISSI FLEITAS (Univision TV Personality/Model), CARLOS GOMEZ (Actor), JACKIE GUERRIDO (Univision TV Personality), CARLA PELLEGRINO (Celebrity Chef), HALSTON SAGE (Actress), CASSIE SCERBO (Actress), DANIA RAMIREZ (Actress), KEVEN RAMIREZ (Radio Host) and ALEX YEMENIDIJIAN (CEO of Tropicana Las Vegas).
