Eva Longoria Announces 2011 Honorees for Padres Contra El Cancer Annual Gala to be Held at Tropicana Las Vegas
George Lopez Confirms Support as Gala Master of Ceremonies
LAS VEGAS, Sept. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Actor and Comedian George Lopez, 2010 recipient of the 'El Sueno de Esperanza' Award will once again serve as Master of Ceremonies at the annual fundraising gala of PADRES Contra El Cancer (PADRES) on October 15 at the all-new Tropicana Las Vegas. The event, presented by Farmers Insurance Group and hosted by Actress Eva Longoria, will raise funds to benefit PADRES' mission to improve the quality of life for Latino children with cancer and their families.

This year's gala in Las Vegas will undoubtedly increase pediatric cancer awareness and allow for PADRES' service expansion," said Eva Longoria, national spokesperson for PADRES.
More than 600 celebrities and leaders in business, entertainment and philanthropy are expected to attend. Invited guests include Jessica Alba, Beto Cuevas, Constance Marie, Marcia Cross, Derek Fisher, Andy Garcia, Daisy Fuentes, Felicity Huffman, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Mario Lopez, among others.

AEG and Leiweke will be recognized for their Commitment to Community Service with the distinguished 'Ruby Oliva Cedillo Award,' named in honor of California State Senator Gilbert A. Cedillo's beloved late wife who lost her battle with cancer.
Fernandez will be honored with this year's 'El Sueno de Esperanza' Award, recognizing her exemplary dedication, commitment and compassion toward improving the quality of life for children with cancer and their families.
