MELVILLE, N.Y., Dec. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- AIP Publishing is pleased to announce that authors whose work was carried out within the framework of the EUROfusion Consortium are now able to accept AIP Publishing's standard license to publish.
Previously, EUROfusion required authors who belong to research institutes and universities that are members of EUROfusion, or who receive funding via the consortium, to submit a separate signed addendum in order to publish their research. Now, authors can simply accept AIP Publishing's progressive license to publish agreement during submission.
"AIP Publishing's license to publish is fully compliant with EUROfusion's requirements," said Dr. Kinga Gal, Scientific Secretary at EUROfusion. "They allow authors to retain copyright of their work and to post their articles in institutional and funder repositories without embargo."
"AIP Publishing is committed to putting the needs of authors and their communities first," said Dr. Jason Wilde, Chief Publishing Officer at AIP Publishing. "We're pleased our progressive author license meets EUROfusion's policy requirement. This will make it much easier for authors to publish in AIP Publishing journals."
Authors will be alerted to the new option during the submission process and will no longer be required to supply additional licensing forms. This will streamline and accelerate the publishing process for researchers who are subject to the intellectual property requirements of participating EUROfusion organizations.
AIP Publishing encourages funding institutions to periodically review our license to publish and their own requirements for addenda in an effort to simplify and improve the publishing experience for researchers.
