Euro RSCG Worldwide PR Wins Extensively, Including Silver and Bronze Anvils, Big Apple Awards and a Bees Award
The Agency, Known as @erwwpr, Claims More Victories for an Impressively Wide Range of Accomplishments
NEW YORK, June 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Euro RSCG Worldwide PR (@erwwpr) has recently been awarded a Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation for its work for Sears Holdings' "Sears Heroes at Home: A Hero's Song." The entry presents the "Portraits of Heroes" song contest, which the agency created for Sears to honor our country's warriors and which led to country music star Josh Gracin's hit song "Can't Say Goodbye." The prestigious industry honor makes this one of the agency's most winning campaigns; it has also claimed a Gold SABRE and a Silver Clio, as well as finalist spots for the PRWeek Awards and the PR News CSR Awards.
The agency also scored a Silver Anvil Award of Commendation for its multicultural campaign with Transitions Optical, plus a Bronze Anvil for its work to create a bid book to lure the 2012 edition of global leadership summit One Young World to Pittsburgh. For the bid, the agency's Pittsburgh office convened a consortium of representatives from local businesses, public offices and nonprofit groups to collaborate on a proposal to bring the conference to the Steel City. The bid won—spectacularly—and 2012's One Young World is set to take place in Pittsburgh.
In the Big Apple Awards, @erwwpr claimed two wins—one for its work on the efforts of the nonprofit organization The French Will Never Forget (TFWNF) to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11, and one for its work to spread the good word for Ford Motor's Warriors in Pink. Both of these initiatives have been extraordinarily successful in recent industry competitions, as well. TFWNF won the CSR on a Shoestring category in the PR News CSR Awards and picked up one Silver and two Golds in the Bulldog Reporter Media Relations Awards. Warriors in Pink was a finalist for both a Gold and a Silver SABRE Award.
And finally, "Love (and Sex) in the Age of Social Media," the agency's innovative white paper based on a study commissioned by its parent group, Euro RSCG Worldwide, won for Best Social Media Marketing Theory in the first international social media marketing competition, the Bees Awards. The findings of the paper were picked up widely throughout social and traditional media upon its publication, timed to coincide with Valentine's Day 2011.
"These latest awards tell a great story of the incredibly wide range of work that we're capable of—we do it all, and we do it well," said Marian Salzman, CEO, North America. "We thread cause and social into everything we do, from consumer/retail to health and wellness to public policy—and as a member of a global family, we are able to access world-class research in the service of all our clients."
@erwwpr, recently named to PR News' CSR A-List, continues to build on momentum achieved in the last two years. During that time, it has become one of the most awarded agencies of its size in the country, and it continues to set the awards standard on several fronts, from client work to agency innovations to staff recognition. Its social media– and cause-related campaigns are especially prevalent on its list of awards (go to the agency's website at eurorscgpr.com to view the list).
