Euro RSCG New York Appoints Creative Leader
Al Kelly Joins Euro RSCG New York as Chief Creative Officer Following Stints at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Fallon
NEW YORK, Nov. 18, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Euro RSCG New York today announced that award-winning creative Al Kelly has been named chief creative officer, effective immediately. Kelly will report directly to co-CEOs Jeff Brooks and Pete Zillig.
As chief creative officer, Kelly will be responsible for all creative teams at the agency, spanning all disciplines, and will work on the full roster of clients including Heineken, Dos Equis, Kraft Foods, Nestle, Jaguar, Charles Schwab, NYSE and Reckitt Benckiser. In his new role, Kelly will bring his expertise in creating famous, effective work for brands including Nike, Saturn, Holiday Inn, Travelers, Purina, Haagen Dazs, HP and Polaroid to the agency.
"I like the direction Euro is headed. They're producing some great creative, but more importantly they have a proven track record with digital ideas and executions that work for their clients. There isn't the steep learning curve that other agencies are facing," said Kelly.
Much of Kelly's work, in addition to being award-winning creatively, has leveraged creative uses of digital and social media in non-traditional campaigns.
"Al is a true 21st Century creative leader," said Jeff Brooks, co-CEO of Euro RSCG New York. "He is a craftsman of big ideas and brand narratives, and is also deeply qualified to lead an agency in a digital age. He's right in the sweet spot."
Prior to joining Euro RSCG, Kelly held positions at well-known creative shops including Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Strawberry Frog and Fallon. During his career, his work garnered virtually every industry award, including multiple Cannes Lions (including the Grand Prix), One Show Pencils, Clios, Effies, and Mercury Awards to name a few.
"Al comes to us with a tremendous creative pedigree, having spent considerable time at some of the most-respected creative agencies in the world. His talent and disposition match our ambition to make the agency a real creative force to be reckoned with," said Pete Zillig, co-CEO of Euro RSCG New York. "Al is also a great fit with the Euro RSCG culture. His candor and spirit will make him a real success here."
The announcement comes at an exciting time for the New York agency, having picked up new business over the past year from clients including IBM, Heineken, Reckitt Benckiser, Kraft Foods and General Electric.
