ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., June 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- With the completion of a brand protection investigation in Argentina last week, Ethos Risk Services notched a significant milestone in the company's expanding platform.
The case, which wrapped in Buenos Aires, marked the 50th international file worked in 2013 by the St. Petersburg, Florida-based risk mitigation company. However, according to Ethos president and founder Ed Cotilla, the number is not so much a benchmark, but a launching pad.
"We all exist and operate within a global community," Cotilla said. "As a growing company with both industry savvy and field expertise, we would be foolish to limit ourselves in terms of geographical boundaries. More importantly, we would be foolish to limit the service offerings to our valued clients.
"To be perfectly honest, this is just the beginning," he continued. "As more and more insurers enter the global marketplace they are going to be faced with increasing risks, and unfortunately I suspect fraudulent activity will continue to rise exponentially. Our broad array of services is designed to mitigate these inherent risks and protect our clients both domestically and abroad."
Ethos, which rose to prominence with its unique one-stop risk mitigation shop approach combined with a true service partner mentality, has cultivated a worldwide network of industry resources. These contacts have provided Ethos with more than a mere foothold on foreign soil.
They have given the company a wealth of international bases.
And from said bases, Ethos offers nearly 100-percent of its domestic services.
At the least, according to Andrew Gregory, vice president of business development, Ethos has the ability to provide international clients access to offerings from the company's primary "silos," which include investigative services, due diligence, brand protection, employee screenings, and data support services.
Already this year, Ethos has gone abroad to conduct field investigations, surveillance, site inspections, site audits, and covert plant investigations.
"We can offer nearly everything we offer domestically on an international stage," said Gregory. "That's a huge boon to clients who require these types of services from a trusted vendor like Ethos."
Ethos has a four-level approach to its worldwide expansion. They are categorized as Ethos personnel, contractual partnerships, general partnerships, and known industry professionals. At this point, Ethos is strongest through the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
In addition to Argentina, Ethos has recently worked cases in Taiwan, the Baltic nations, and Tunisia.
"This is a daunting but exciting endeavor," Cotilla said. "But the possibilities are truly limitless. The fact that we can help clients worldwide is really an enticing and worthwhile pursuit."
