ETA Launches Payments Start-Up Competition

WASHINGTON, March 2, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA), the global trade association representing the payments technology world, today announced the TRANSACT 16 Payments Pitch-Off, a shark tank-style competition that will take place live on the TRANSACT show floor on Wednesday, April 20. Sponsored by Intuit, the competition will award $25,000 to the start-up company demonstrating the best payments innovation. TRANSACT 16, the premier annual event in payments technology, is April 19-21 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Registration is open now at www.transact16.com.

The top 10 applicants, as selected by a leading group of VC judges, will be invited to Las Vegas to demonstrate their innovation live on the TRANSACT 16 show floor. One inspiring winner will be selected as the E-Pay Innovation Award winner, receiving $25,000 to launch their game-changing solution. Recent winners include Cyclos in 2014 and eThor in 2015.
