Establishment of New Gulf Air Route to Rome Hailed by Italian Ambassador to Bahrain
MANAMA, Bahrain, Aug. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --In an interview with Gulf Daily News, Italy's Ambassador to Bahrain Enrico Padula lauded the establishment of direct flight service on Gulf Air between Bahrain and Rome.
"The historic and commercial ties between Italy and Bahrain will be further enhanced," he said.
Beginning on November 30, Gulf Air will operate four flights per week to Italy's capital. Pledging Italy's full-fledged support to ensuring the success of the new route, Ambassador Padula said, "We are certain that it will be as successful as the Milan route Gulf Air launched earlier this year, and that it will encourage passengers in both countries to explore everything Bahrain and Rome have to offer."
This announcement follows an earlier decision to establish new routes to Entebbe, Uganda's commercial center, and Juba, the capital of the newly established state of South Sudan.
