ARLINGTON, Va, Sept. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Engineering Services Network, Inc. (ESN) announced a new contract, "Department of Veterans Affairs National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Health Plan Identifier (HPID) Technical Services," to provide technical services to the Veterans Health Administration Chief Business Office. The award was for one year and valued at approximately $475,000 with an option period of one year.

ESN won the award as a subcontractor to C2 Solutions Group, Inc., based in Reston, Va., and is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business.

ESN's work will help the Veterans Health Administration Chief Business Office achieve its goals of implementing and complying with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the Department of Health and Human Services' published Final Rule titled the "Administrative Simplification: Adoption of a Standard for a Unique Health Plan Identifier; Addition to the National Provider Identifier Requirements; and a Change to the Compliance Date for the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Edition (ICD–10–CM and ICD–10–PCS) Medical Data Code Sets."
