Cobb's first appearance will be on a Privacy and Security Symposium Panel on December 7 titled, "BYOD and MDM: Reducing Risk on the Mobile Perimeter." Moderated by Chris Crowley, ethical hacker with the SANS Institute, the session includes Cobb and several distinguished colleagues: Anahi Santiago, director information security and support services, Einstein Healthcare Network; Lee Kim, director, privacy & security, HIMSS; John Donohue, associate CIO of technology & infrastructure, Penn Medicine; and Adam Kehler, privacy & security expert, Regional Extension Center for Pennsylvania East and West.

With four out of every five physicians using smartphones and/or tablets, BYOD is here to stay. The panelists will discuss how organizations can protect every device without compromising staff workflows. This session will cover privacy and security concerns related to global organizations and enterprises with cross-border operations, including policies, regulations, myths, risk assessment and audit and security breaches--as well as the need for government to address a growing criminal threat.
