ERT Awarded Ten-Year Contract to Support NOAA's NOAALink Program

LAUREL, Md., Nov. 2, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Earth Resources Technology, Inc. (ERT) today announced that it has been awarded a prime contract by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) to provide information technology, product and service solutions, ensuring the use of leading-edge technology to better meet their needs and resulting implications for national security. The program will help NOAA work more effectively with business partners throughout NOAA, the Department of Commerce, other government agencies, and industry, enabling the agency to acquire a broad range of cost-effective, enterprise-wide IT solutions. The Multiple Award contract has a $2.5B ceiling with a 10-year period of performance. ERT will be supported by 11 subcontractors: Microsoft Corporation, Red River, TIBCO Software Inc., RCG, eKohs, InovaTech, Suh'dutsing, G&B Solutions, Raytheon Company, SRA, and Verizon Business.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) manages and delivers data and information to citizens and businesses in the areas of weather and water forecasts, search and rescue, climate change, environmental images, coastal maps, and ecosystems management. To facilitate this mission, the NOAALink contract vehicle will enable the IT organizations at NOAA to partner with industry with the goal of improving IT service delivery and support via: (1) establishing secure, enterprise-wide IT standardized solutions; (2) enabling the NOAA mission; (3) maximizing agility and innovation in IT service delivery; (4) delivering cost-effective IT solutions; (5) fostering strategic partnerships; and (6) creating effective IT governance.
