Ernst & Young LLP's Financial Services Office Announces a Significant Addition to its Insurance Tax and Actuarial Talent
NEW YORK, April 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ernst & Young LLP's Financial Services Office announced today the addition of more than 30 professionals to its insurance tax and life actuarial practices. These professionals bring with them extensive experience in providing tax and actuarial consulting services, and will be focused on the federal income taxation of life insurance companies and their products. The group, led by Chris DesRochers and Greg Stephenson, joins Ernst & Young from LECG/SMART, a global consulting and advisory firm.
"This represents a significant addition of intellectual capital to our insurance tax and actuarial teams," said Carmine DiSibio, Vice Chair and Managing Partner, Financial Services, Ernst & Young LLP. "We were very fortunate to be able to add so many experienced professionals at one time — additional talent that greatly enhances the breadth and depth of the services we provide."
Ernst & Young's insurance practices continue to experience significant growth across assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services, with more than 7,000 professionals globally (over 3,000 of which are in the Americas). The addition of this team, along with Ernst & Young LLP's recent hire of Dave Hollander as Principal and Insurance Advisory Services Leader, demonstrates a commitment to expanding the organization's position as a leader in the insurance marketplace.
